Will Baahubali become first 100 crore Indian film of 2015?
Just like the much celebrated 50 crore club in Tollywood's trade circles, Bollywood goes crazy about the 100 crore club. So far in 2015, no film has managed to enter the 100 crore club. In January, Akshay Kumar and Rana starrer Baby released to great reviews and stormed the box-office and ended up with a share of 95 crores.
Then came the Fast & Furious 7, the Hollywood's action spectacle that ruled the box-office and became the first film to enter the 100 crore club in 2015. The film was released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, apart from the English version. Even Avengers: Age of Ultron did solid business and earned upto 73 crores.
And then came Krish's Tagore remake, Gabbar Is Back. The film is still running in the theatres across the country and so far, it has collected close to 80 crores but the slackened pace at the box-office indicates that it's impossible for the film to reach 100 crores. Here comes Baahubali into the picture. The film is releasing big in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi on 10th July.
Being made on a budget of nearly 150 crores, Baahubali is turning everyone's head and is sure to open big this summer, thanks to the heavy expectations. If the film manages to get thumping reviews, 100 crores in Telugu alone is a cakewalk and with Tamil and Hindi versions, the collections might even touch 150 plus crores.
With no notable releases until July and Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan releasing only on the 16th July, looks like there is no stopping for Baahubali to become the first Indian film to enter the 100 crore club this year. If the magnum opus indeed makes this feat happen, it will be a proud moment for all Telugu film lovers.

Baahubali to be recut for international - Screendaily.com
Yet another news on Baahubali in the International media, this time on sceendaily.com
India’s Arka Mediaworks is planning an international cut of its $40m action epic Baahubali, directed by S.S. Rajamouli, one of the biggest filmmakers in the Telugu-language film industry.
The first part of the two-part film will be released on 3,500 screens across India in July. Filmed in Telugu and Tamil, it will also be released in a Hindi version to be presented by leading Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar (My Name Is Khan).
Cast includes top Telugu stars such as Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and Anushka Shetty. The film was shot over 450 days at Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City, other Indian locations and Bulgaria. VFX houses such as John Hughes’ Tau Films and Korea’s Macrograph are now working on the film.
Arka CEO Shobu Yarlagadda said the international version of the film would shorten the two-parter’s 290-minute running time, adjusting the emphasis between drama and songs. “The film is set in a fictitious era and the story is completely original as we didn’t want the restraints or expectations that come with basing the film on Indian myth,” said Yarlagadda.
Arka has brought on board former Directors’ Fortnight head Francois Da Silva to rep the film in Cannes.
Rajamouli’s credits include period epic Warrior (Magadheera) and high-concept drama Fly (Eega), which both grossed more than $16m (Rs1bn) worldwide.CREDITS : SCREENDAILY.COM

Rs 70 crore for Baahubali Graphics
VFX Expert Srinivas Mohan who won National Awards for films like 'Magic...Magic', 'Shivaji' and 'Robo' is supervising the visual effects of 'Baahubali'. About 600 people have been working for the Graphics of this period drama.
Usually, A 10 Seconds of Visual Effects work costs around Rs 50,000. As 95% of 'Baahubali' scenes have graphics, the makers have spent a whooping Rs 70 crore for it already. This is a figure not even heard for either 'Robo' or Shahrukh Khan's 'Ra.One'.
The graphics in 'Baahubali' will be so real that audience would never what's real & what's created using the 'photo real graphics'. This epic movie could be compared with Hollywood flicks Avatar & Lord of the Rings.
Delay in 'Baahubali' release by few months is only because of the extensive graphics work. The release date was confirmed as July 10th after Karan Johar who is releasing the Hindi version appealed Rajamouli for more time to launch aggressive promotions.
